Molino, Fla. — The Rockhill Group (TRG) is thrilled to announce its key role as a trusted industry supplier to Textron Aviation Defense, contributing to their Tunisian Air Force Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Royal Thai Air Force Direct Commercial Sale (DCS) customers.
Textron Aviation Defense was previously awarded contracts to manufacture, integrate, and deliver eight cutting-edge Beechcraft T-6C Texan II advanced military integrated training systems (ITS) to the Tunisian Air Force and 12 state-of-the-art Beechcraft T-6TH Texan II ITS to the Royal Thai Air Force. These contracts are not just about hardware — they encompass a suite of comprehensive services and support mechanisms designed to ensure smooth operations and capability enhancements for the recipient air forces.
Included in Textron Aviation Defense’s contracts are in-country field service and logistics support representatives, dedicated program management support, and interim contractor support for the initial year. Furthermore, these contracts facilitate essential training for pilots and maintenance professionals, providing spare engines, spare parts, and crucial aircraft support equipment.
In this dynamic partnership, TRG’s role is multifaceted. We provided expert ferry pilots tasked with delivering aircraft Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) to Tunisia. Our support extends to supplying seasoned instructor pilots at Textron Aviation Defense’s Wichita facility at Beech Field, playing a vital role in the training ecosystem. TRG is also at the forefront of developing innovative and revised courseware for both pilot and maintenance training programs, ensuring that the curriculum is up-to-date, relevant, and effective in addressing the needs of modern air forces.
James Rockhill, TRG’s CEO, shared his enthusiasm about this collaboration: “This partnership with Textron Aviation Defense underscores our commitment to supporting global defense initiatives. We are excited to bring our expertise to the table, contributing to the success of the Tunisian and Royal Thai Air Forces through top-tier training and support.”
